User Agreement

1. Introduction
Welcome to TipForDreams ("Platform", "we", "us", "our").
TipForDreams is operated by an individual sole trader based in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. The TipForDreams Platform
TipForDreams is a donation-based crowdfunding platform that enables individuals ("Campaign Creators") to raise funds for personal dreams or projects, and other users ("Donors") to make voluntary donations.
Important:
- All donations are voluntary
- Donations are not investments
- Donations are non-refundable
- Campaign Creators do not offer rewards, equity, services, or products in exchange for donations
3. Role of TipForDreams (Neutral Intermediary)
TipForDreams acts solely as a neutral technical intermediary.
We:
- Provide the online platform
- Facilitate visibility of campaigns
- Enable donations via Stripe
We do not:
- Guarantee campaign success
- Verify accuracy of campaign statements beyond basic checks
- Control or monitor how funds are used
- Act as an agent, trustee, or fiduciary for any user
All responsibility for campaign content and fund usage rests with the Campaign Creator.
4. Payments & Stripe
All payments are processed via Stripe Connect Standard.
By using TipForDreams, you agree to be bound by:
- Stripe Services Agreement
- Stripe Connected Account Agreement
Stripe:
- Processes payments
- Holds funds
- Performs KYC and identity verification
- Manages payouts to Campaign Creators
TipForDreams never stores card details.
5. Fees
The following fees apply to each donation:
- TipForDreams platform fee: 8% of the donation amount
- Stripe processing fee: Varies depending on the card type (typically 1.5% + 20p for UK cards, higher for international cards)
Stripe may also apply additional fees such as:
- Currency conversion fees
- International card fees
All fees are automatically deducted before payout. The exact amount received by the Campaign Creator is displayed on the payment confirmation page.
6. Withdrawals
Campaign Creators may withdraw funds immediately, subject to:
- Stripe account verification
- Stripe's policies
- Compliance reviews
Funds remain held by Stripe until withdrawn.
7. Age & Eligibility
- Donors: Must be 18 years or older
- Campaign Creators: Must be 18+, or minors acting with verified parental or legal guardian consent
Stripe requirements always apply.
8. Prohibited Content & Conduct
You may not use the Platform for:
- Fraud or misrepresentation
- Illegal activities
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Adult or sexually explicit content
- Money laundering or financial crime
We reserve the right to:
- Remove campaigns
- Suspend accounts
- Freeze funds via Stripe
- Report suspected illegal activity to authorities
9. Intellectual Property
Campaign Creators retain ownership of their content.
By uploading content, you grant TipForDreams a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable licence to:
- Host
- Display
- Distribute
- Promote
- Market
- Use in Platform and promotional materials
10. Account Termination
Users may delete their accounts at any time.
Upon deletion:
- Active campaigns end
- Unwithdrawn funds remain with Stripe until claimed
- Stripe policies continue to apply
We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
11. Disputes
Disputes regarding donations are strictly between Donors and Campaign Creators.
TipForDreams is not obligated to mediate or refund donations.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses
- We are not liable for misuse of funds
- We are not liable for campaign outcomes
Nothing limits liability where prohibited by law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
